Using a smartphone app and a WhatsApp chat box, Voice+ allows us to communicate instantly with networks and organisation of people living with HIV across the world and them with us. We provide accurate information on COVID-19 and HIV – information that is relevant to who they are and where they live. Using the technology we are also able to gather up to date information from people living with HIV on the challenges they face in accessing health services and protecting their human rights.
Through the app, networks and organisations of people living with HIV can ask questions, find information, report on specific problems or concerns and even share innovations and solutions to challenges. The information gathered can be used to inform advocacy and decision-making, ensuring it is based on the latest situation on the ground.
What are we doing?
We are leading the project with technical and financial support from a whole range of partners. The project was designed in partnership with UNYPA in Uganda and NEPHWAN in Nigeria. Voice+ is now being piloted in both countries.
